Creative, unique, and oh so janky. 3/5 stars.

Tour of Terror has lots of little issues -- AI navigation, visual bugs, and more -- but it's got it where it counts. This campaign is an enjoyable European vacation with a variety of interesting locations, and that's the best thing about it. The atmosphere might not blow you away, but it's a uniquely memorable experience thanks to all the custom assets and the architectural oddities of its setting. Gameplay is also challenging without being unreasonable, although it peaks in the middle with a somewhat easy finale.

Sadly, this campaign makes a poor first impression. Map 1 was my least favorite by far because it has too many copy-pasted hotel rooms, all of them mostly empty. Even with arrows pointing the way, I felt lost in the maze. I also encountered an issue with zombies spawning directly in front of me on this map, but thankfully that stopped in Map 2 onward.

Overall, I think this is still worth a go. The sightseeing is fun on its own!
