Stat Crash Bug
It seems some are still having this issue, so I feel some discussion is needed. When I first added these stat bonuses to the skills it was to allow players to get the armor and weapons they wanted sooner, as well as give the benefits the stat offers. This was fun to me as a player, as I am not one to really get riled over the balance of a character. After all I get to be a mundane person in every day life. :p

I think we can fix the crash by removing the stat bonuses. What I can do instead is in each passive I can place the bonuses of getting the stat itself. Example: Strong stance would have 2% attack speed, -x to item requirements, and +damage bonus.

This would be a TON of work. And I want to give it another week and some new characters to see if the stat crash has been fixed. Also understand this project will increase the time till Pack 2 is released.

I REALLY need feedback on this before taking the time to undertake this project.

Thanks,
Zyph

This definitely seems class-specific, because I've never had this crash occur while playing as 2 Ninjas (currently lvl 35 with one) and a Kensei.

I think we have it boiled down to something in the Warrior Monk. I believe the fix we put in worked for the GM and the Kensei. I have altered the Warrior Monk to test this theory. Oddly the changes I made seem to be very popular, and further differentiate the WM from the GM.

I was playing my Ronin just recently, and had two crashes. Once when I raised my stats and then lowered them again after leveling (put too many into Vitality); it seemed to crash right as I tried to put the point back into something else.
I had 1 point in each of the stat passives (battle-xxxx), except two in the one that gives vitality.

In the past, I had the stat crash happening all the time with my Warrior Monk *and* Kensei when they were stand-alone additions. I also had the crash bug REALLY BAD when I used General Passives' mod on my Outlander (I had maxed out 25 points in Dexterity boosting).

It's gotta be something in the game engine causing this.

I have a similar problem with my GM. I just levelled up to 14 and can't add any points into any of my stats. The skill points are just fine, just the stat points.

Thanks Suspencer. Are you using the current version of the mod?
The Suspencer 29 AGO 2013 a las 15:43
Yes, I just tried version v.217 and when I tried to add a point to strength, the game froze then crashed. Might the order of skill points or anything else have to do with this crash?

We are pretty sure the crash is based on max stat level allowed at a level. IF you remove all of your gear you can then add the stat point and reequip the gear.

That seems to be working for me. I'll comment again if it happens later on. Thanks!

I have met with this bug on my ronin and grand master. I tried your solution, and it worked. So thanks for that insight, and keep up the good work. Modding isn't easy, after all.
