A few differences I can see when comparing this helmet with Nekros' original helmet is that this one's a bit more round and arcs downward in the front instead of upward. I'd first try to put more emphasis on the elements that make it different from Nekros. The syandana looks like it has some wear and tear, but the hood looks pristine. Perhaps it's a good idea to add some of that wear and tear to the hood as well.
Personally, my biggest problem with the helmet is the 'face.' It feels empty in comparison with the rest of the skin. Something I think could be really cool is to model the face like a scorpion, liberally of course, and have it protrude a bit more. The legs of the scorpion would mirror the skeletal design of the chest. The pointy 'beard' would be the scorpion's tail and stinger. Also the fact that he doesn't seem to have a neck really throws me off.
I hope my suggestions can be of some help to you, Dragon_Lord.
I recommend maintaining a state of open-mindedness in terms of these different designs, as in reality it just means more effort was put into it than your average cookie cutter skin.
