Spoilered Cavern Catastrophe Walkthrough
Step by Step Walkthrough

  • Walk right until you reach the door. Make sure you keep it open as the doors in this part of the level trigger bridge collapses.
  • Chirp to gather the Fireflies around the light.
  • Chirp repeatedly to get the fireflies to follow as you run right.
  • When at the end of the bridge draw the fireflies close enough for the bird to pick you up and far enough away so that the Giant Ancient Frog can't eat you.
  • After landing in the nest, immediately head right past the Checkpoint.
  • Drop down and head through the door. Move out of the doorway and under the lava waterfall after the hermit crab has fallen to bridge the lava.
  • Drop down again and think fast and watch the movement of the hermit crab below as it moves back and forth over the teleporter beams.
  • Cross the Warp Portals when the Hermit Crab obstructs and disables them to avoid being teleported back to the beginning of the section.
  • Go through the door, drop down into the Timed Slug section and activate the Checkpoint.
  • Walk across the bottom level of the room waiting for the Slug's lightning to connect before moving to the next safe spot in between lightning strikes. Toki Tori can move past at least 2 of these per strike.
  • Climb the ladder and head left along the top level avoiding the lightning strikes again until you reach a Hermit Crab.
  • The Hermit Crab can only detect Toki Tori when he's illuminated by light, unluckily for it's right in the path of the Slug's lightning strikes. Wait for the lightning to strike before moving into the light and chirping to attract the Hermit Crab towards you before moving into the darkness and out of dangter before lightning strikes again.
  • Keep the Hermit Crab moving towards you until you reach the the room on the right.
  • Move the Hermit Crab up until the ladder. Climb it and drop off to the left so that you are able to stomp the Hermit Crab into the next area.
  • Push the hermit crab past the checkpoint (activating it), and then down into the hole disrupting the two slugs blocking the path with lightning.
  • Stomp the ground to drop one of the two Glowy BerryBugs onto the ground then stomp to the left of them to roll them right over the top of the Hermit Crab and onto the ground to the right of it next to the Warp Portal.
  • Do the same with the second Glowy BerryBug except roll it onto the far righthand side of the Hermit Crab.
  • Stand on the top of the Hermit Crab, climb the Ladder, walk across the Bridge, go down the second ladder and chirp at the Hermit Crab.
  • As the Glowy BerryBugs have lit things up he should move towards you pushing the first Glowy BerryBug into the Warp Portal and out of the second Warp Portal onto the bridge above. The Glowy BerryBug will illuminate the Fire Ancient Frog who will hop down from his ledge onto the ground next to you.
  • Now that the first Glowy BerryBug is on top of the bridge the one on the far right of the Hermit Crab becomes important as allows it to see your actions. Stomp the ground next to the Hermit Crab to move it left in order to stop it from obstructing the Fire Ancient Frog from the Warp Portal.
  • The Fire Ancient Frog will now drop into the Warp Portal and drop out the other side onto the bridge and eat the Glowy BerryBug it lands on.
  • Climb up the ladder, chirp on the right hand side of the Fire Ancient Frog to get it to face right and stomp the bridge to release a bubble to carry you up to the ledge where he originally was. Remember to pop the bubble manually to avoid colliding with the lava waterfall. With the bridge broken the Fire Ancient Frog will infinitely loop through the set of Warp Portals.
  • Walk in front of the Controllable Warp Gate and chirp to pull the Fireflies above towards you. Once the light of the fireflies reaches the Hermit Crab across the lava waterfall chirp again to move him under the waterfall, (reactivating the portal he was obstructing) and into the hole below (flooding the bat tunnel).
  • Now that the other side of the Controllable Warp Gate has been reactivated stomp in front of it and reposition the Warp Portal above to catch the Fire Ancient Frog Infinitely looping through the Warp Portals below and down into the area where the Hermit Crab was blocking.
  • The Fire Ancient Frog will then walk up to the ladder, fall down the hole and patrol through the bat tunnel.
  • Reposition the Controllable Warp Gate's Portal so that Toki Tori is able to walk through to area across the lava waterfall.
  • Climb up the ladder and activate the Checkpoint.
  • Walk right to the far side of the bridge next to the Glowy BerryBug and the Grey Tutorial Bird and break the bridge.
  • Use the light of the Glowy BerryBug and a chirp to pull the Hermit Crab down into the lava (when the Fire Ancient Frog is on the right hand side) to disrupt the flow of lava and shorten the frog's patrol path.
  • Roll the Glowy Berry Bug into the hole to bloat the Firey Ancient Frog.
  • Stomp and walk into the bubble it produces.
  • The bubble will take you across the gap and drop you in front of the ladder.
  • Climb up the ladder to the top and head left until you reach the Level Exit with two Toki Tori's in front of it.
  • Go through the Level Exit Gate and you've completed the level.
