I would buy the skin as well, I am tired of all Mesa skins being Cowboy hats. But for some people a skin "Not being like the frame" is a huge deal, and they express this massively.
If I didn't like a skin I simply don't buy it, there are a lot of skins already inside the game that are way too similar and I just don't feel like getting them because, that way, I can't customize the Frame the way I want.
There are also a lot of skins already inside the game that would fall into the "Not being part of the Frame" category these people scream so much about. Look at a few examples:
I bet that with time we can also see this skin inside the game. It's just annoying that people won't let the artists have creative design on the only thing they can go wild in, because DE doesn't allow a new body mesh.
Edit: Also remember that Blade of the Lotus Saryn had a lot of annoying people complaining about the helmet, saying "Where the hair at?", and it still got accepted. And honestly the skin looks amazing.
I hope DE doesn't focus on the haters (who will probably prefer an umpteenth weeb looking Excalibur skin) and brings this gem into the game.
*unique in the whole world of character design. every kid (including me) has designed an oc with a hood and <nvg/scanner/magnifiers>, ofc we dont have this in wf.
