Worth mentioning that I had the squirrel knight (the one that got added in definitive - rides an undead cat around), and the black cat (the one that follows you at the start in fort joy) already accompanying my party. Not sure if that might be affecting it? Even when the cat removed itself after escaping, Emmie still couldn't follow.
Whenever a save is loaded, Emmie will appear next to the party, but stay put and never move (unless combat kicks off, then her default aggressive behaviour kicks in). Can't complete the quest using this, as even when she's right next to buddy there's no dialog to resolve it.

Could you please let me know what you did after accepting the quest from Buddy? Such as, did you leave Fort Joy and then come back inside to get her? Did you distract Bruno and the other hounds, or did you fight them? Anything else you can remember you did inbetween giving the blanket to Emmie and telling her to follow you? I'm really stumped by this issue...
But since I've finished the Lord Withermoore quest already Mody is in grief and doesn't say anything other than begging Lord Withermoore to wake up. No dlalogue options.
Is there anything I can do at this point?
