I'd also love to see a way to add thralls to them to increase production rates/output per food. (Or even as a basic requirement for operation.)
Definitely! I think the idea of them just being the main part of the building like the bench in the lumbermill, or the mine cart of the quarry would look good as you can put another building around it.
I do quite like the look of the mining operation but the sandstone colour just doesn't work outside the desert!
Also I think the mod dev mentioned he didn't want to put in thralls unless he could get animations that looked good for them.
I think if he used exsisting animations it would work well. Like the blacksmith hammering for the quarry but with a pick instead and the carpenter for the lumbermill.
