Ultra-heavy laser is not well balanced
Yes, I think the ultra-heavy laser needs balance. Otherwise, there's no point in using this mod in a survival server because the ultra-heavy laser is brokenly cheap.

Currently, there's nothing stopping anyone from just spamming laser turrets on their ship, and these laser weapons are not nearly as expensive as they should be in my opinion, especially the ultra-heavy laser, which everyone and their dog now has on my server because it's so damn easy to have.

So, I have a few balance suggestions.

Compared to a similar mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1700961796 the difference in power consumption is exorbitant, for starters. The ultra-heavy laser should require substantially more power draw than it currently does, in my opinion. Secondly, for what the ultra-heavy laser is, it's awfully cheap. You don't even need superconductors to build it.

I am not using both mods together in my server, and I am not implying that another mod is a bar for balancing this mod. I am trying to point to another good mod and say "This is what they did to balance it" because right now the Ultra-Heavy laser is stupidly cheap to build and use. I have seen up to four of them bolted to the nose of ships that weren't really designed for them.

In short, for the Ultra-Heavy laser,
- It should have a lot more power draw. Not as much as the Atlas laser, because this laser is also huge, but still.
- Superconductors should be required to build it.

In fact, superconductors should be used on almost everything in this mod, as that simple addition prevents them from being spammed on every ship.
