There is a bunch of things I'd like to do with this mod to create a user friendly collection for all players to pick and choose which adjustments they want to use. This mod was started with a long list of future changes planned.

I also want to do this in a way that doesn't 'break' this mod and future mods that people are already using. So I'll likely split this into separate mods, and add more mods as time goes by, and let people add each one as they like.

So with this in mind, I will begin forming a Todo list.
Todo list:

  1. Create better Icons for structures
  2. Split Mod into parts so players can select what they want to add
    • Create a separate mod for 1x, up to 2x, up to 5x, up to 10x, and up to 20x. Allows players to limit what level of increased production/power they want to have.
    • Seperate mod into mods for different functions. EG. 10x hydrogen energy mod, and Tiereed power pack mods.
  3. Add all production blocks with similar tiering, Ie. Refineries, Assemblers, etc.
  4. Investigate ways to balance for PvP while still costing enough effort/power to run. (a refinery with 20x it's normal Steel plates will be VERY hard to destroy, practically a shield / battering ram)
  5. Investigate adjusting models to represent each tier of increased production/power.

Why am I doing this, what is my goal here?

The primary reason I created this mod was for performance and game balance issues. I like to play a dedicated server with increased rates to allow all fun with no/limited 'grind'. So less time waiting for things to refine or craft, and no running out of space to put things. For performance, I've noticed that trying to run 50 refineries is extremely taxing on the server. When combined with inventory scripts such as TIM, the scripts become 'too complex' requiring too much processing of too many structures and simply lag the server with poor sim speed.

I'd like to see if allowing for an 'upgrade' type system to existing structures can solve this. By allow someone to upgrade their reactor from a 1x rate to a 20x rate, it's like having 20 reactors worth of power, but only 1 structure for the game to process. The downside is that 20 reactors would normally take a LOT of space which you no longer have to worry about. But I also like this idea. For game balance and cosmetic reasons, I like the idea of compressing much larger power/production into smaller space, to give the player room to build for design/cosmetics more than function. The function aspect becomes easy and requires no design limiting to achieve.

As I'm very new to modding, i'm sticking with adjusting current vanilla structures, and incorporating other tiered block mods such as thruster packs.
