Usage with RPGO
Hi everyone,

if you struggle like me with having the perks needed for the classes in the RPGO Second Wave option "Origins" here's what to do:

If you go into the XComRPG.ini for the SuperSoldiers (Core) and change (for example):

;+AdditionalRandomTraits=(AbilityName="SpartanIIProgram", ApplyToWeaponSlot=eInvSlot_PrimaryWeapon))

Remove the ; before it to re-enable it, and you can select the ability. Do this for each class.

Works like a charm for me

This is a total lifesaver in a sea of confusion. Worked instantly.
Followed this, nothing changed. Still locked out by things like missing traits such as 'way of the ninja'
There may be a typo in the code somewhere, because while I was going through the code, I noticed that there was an errant quotation mark at the end of an ability line that shouldn't be there which was making everything below it seem like it was all part of one ability

This does indeed work for adding a random chance. But is there a line I could edit to make the prerequisite perks appear in the squadie promotion screen properly to choose them?

When you use "Origins" this will make the perks available in the promotion screen. They are listed right at the top.
This does not tell me where in the ♥♥♥♥ this ini file is.

Just use the XCOM Alternative Mod Launcher. It has a build in ini editor for that purpose
