Divinity: Original Sin 2

DOS2 - Divine War
Difficulty
I really liked epic encounters from DOS1 and i enjoyed attributes insanity for the most part.

ive picked this game up again a bit after dropping it agess ago, now with divine war here it makes sense to start a new game

is there any difficulty mods people would recommend to compliment divine war? ive read a lot of things that are abusable with the systems in place and would rather a system where i need to use everything at my disposal to win rather than "just ignore all these broken mechanics and the game will be difficult!" mentality

thanks in advance

Divine War is supposed to not be broken. A lot of these broken mechanics aren't as bad as vanilla nonsense. My plan is to work on everything unbalanced.

But for difficulty, there was some mini boss mod I can't remember the name of and there's LaughingLeader's Enemy Upgrade Overhaul which generates random buffs on enemy NPCs. Highly recommended.

awesome, as someone who enjoys stuff like long war, do you believe that the base game will provide enough of a challenge or do you recommend the upgrade overhaul mod?

I recommend EUO, myself! Without cheap tricks like enemies oneshotting you, the game is definitely easier in some respects.

awesome ill download it now

the miniboss addon you might be talking about is Faheelee's Mini-Boss Monster Pack right? it seems like the addon has stopped development since july and has only added additional bosses upto lv 7 as they wanted to add at the very least a boss for every character level

if its not that i couldnt readily find it

Correct! That's the one. Pity it's only up to 7, but it's a good mod.

Ok, yea, i dont think ill bother with it

last question i swear lol, with the enemy upgrade overhaul, would you recommend turning on the level scaling? when i used it with the base game i had it on a constant +3 i think and it was very doable

Oh wow. Uhh, yeah, maybe +1. You can't oneshot people near as easily in this mod, remember.

Ok, yea i didnt really one shot people as much as it was just chain CC everything, was using warrior abilities with a dagger rogue AND a mage using a staff lmao and a 2h warrior
