Alright, so I've killed Gerald, the Watcher in act 2 and picked up his sword "Virgin Camilla". But I can't figure out what the purpose of it is. The "Set Purify" passive it comes with doesn't seem to do anything based on the testing I've done with it, and no status effect appears by the character portrait. It doesn't remove curse either. Does anybody know?

Man, getting people asking me about the Godbroken takes me back.

Virgin Camilla's purify does two things.

Firstly, it purges various buffs from enemies it strikes. This includes Regeneration, Fortify and others. Feel free to experiment.

Secondly, it deals extra piercing damage to beings Gerald would have considered "monsters": Undead, Voidwoken and Demons especially.
