Ui is hard to read
It's very hard to see which tech is already researched or which general is chosen

There is too much blue, hard to tell whats researched and whats not.

Background contrast is also a pain on the eyes

same with focuses

some sort of back coloring to help distinguish researched techs or completed focuses would work

The styling looks cool and I love the color scheme, but the sheer amount of blue and black contrasts heavily with some elements and does indeed strain the eyes.

One can get used to the disconcerting color. What's really annoying is that you use absolute UI dimensions instead of relative ones. On my 1330p screen, I had to edit the TNO_demo_opening_screen.gui file so that the OK button was on the screen. And I guess that on a 4K screen they would be way too small.

I'm colourblind and can't tell the researched and not researched tech apart at all. That, and why would you bother to do UI at all at this point at all? Make tech trees and design techs and general gameplay elements first, then do UI. You just wasted tens of manhours on UI that you might as well scrap and start over and is subject to change after you implement new stuff.

It's not because you're colourblind. I'm not colourblind and I can't tell anything apart either. Lol.

Research will have a very clear COMPLETED or UNAVAILABLE banner in the next patch

An easy way to tell if you've researched something is by doing the following;
Between each techs is a line connecting them as ussual, so like this
Tech (Blue line) Tech (Blue line) Tech. . . etc

If your tech is like THIS
Tech (Blue line) Tech (Blune line) Tech (BLACK line)
You have not researched the 3rd tech in this line ^

That's just the way I've noticed it's setup and while at first it's clunky, you get used to it and fly right into it.

same

also the text is far too small and for tech icons like infantry equipment, tanks, planes, etc aren't easy to see and figure out at a glance because the text is too small and the icons feel very cluttered with useless information

Echoing this sentiment. its made playing near impossible for me. I would much prefer the vanilla UI for all aspects, from the map, tech tree and everything else please. :cozybethesda:
