Newbie's Guide to TTT rules and objectives
Haven't seen official writeup of the rules for this map yet and I see a lot of people having no clue what they are doing so I decided to take 5 minutes and write this quickly:

There are 3 roles in this mode: Detective, Innocent and Traitor.
There is 1 traitor per 3 Innocents including the detective.
There is always 1 detective unless there are less than 4 players.

The Innocents/Detective objective is to find and eliminate all traitors OR survive until the time limit ends.
The Traitor objective is to kill all the Innocent & Detective before the time limit ends.

Innocents don't know who is Innocent or Traitor, the only person they can be sure of being a friend is the detective since he has a blue outfit.
Traitors know who other traitors are and can see each other on the map even through walls.

As Innocent you've got to figure out who the bad guys are and be quite defensive. Traitors will often be super friendly up until there's only you and them in an empty room or you turn your back to them.
You've got to watch other's behaviour and investigate the gunfire sounds. If you've just heard shooting in a house and you go there and there's 1 dead Innocent on the floor and another living guy in the corner, there is a very high chance he is a traitor.
One dead giveaway of being a traitor is how relaxed they are most of the time. Most Innocent are on their heels because they don't know who is who and think they may be shot any second. Traitors have nothing to fear since other traitors won't shoot them.

As detective you play same as Innocent with 2 exceptions.
1. You get to buy gadgets from the menu. The most useful one being a detector which has 2 charges and it will tell you whether the person you are scanning are Innocent or a traitor. As soon as you pull out one of those you will see couple of people running towards you to get scanned and others starting to back away. The ones who are backing away are more likely to be traitors.
2. You are more distinguished as in everybody knows that you are confirmed Innocent. This is both a good and a bad thing. People will flock to you and listen to your orders most of the time but because of you bringing that order and having access to the gadgets, the Traitors will want to eliminate you asap as they benefit from chaos. Detective is basically a big glowing target for them.

As a traitor you are a master of deception. A mix of con-man and an assassin.
You've also got access to gadgets, the most useful in my opinion are the knife and radar.
Playing a traitor is more about your tongue and smarts than your shooting skills.
You will want to frame other people so other Innocents turn against their own. You will want to make people distrust other Innocents and trust you.
Chaos always works in your favour as a traitor but you've gotta be smart about it.
You generally want to kill when there are no other people around or you are sure you can win 2v1. I saw some dumb traitors start shooting in a group of 8 and sure they took down one Innocent but got shot right after and you can't win as Traitor by trading 1 for 1 with Innocent death.

I think that's pretty much it, saving advanced tips for mine and my friends knowledge for now.

You know where you radio is on the left side around your shoulder? You pull the gadgets from the same place but opposite side and a bit closer to the chest.
