What is that area in the beginning?
Early in the game I see this area which is marked with '+++++++++' close to me. What is that area? What significance does it hold? Am I to do something special there? It seems to move a bit too at one point. Then it disappears as I expand.

That's an area where enemies are operating with a radiotower, destroy the radiotower to delete the field
