Special affect?
maybe they could add a special affect like you would here voices through the headset sometimes, or make all mic chat sound like it came from a walkie talkie.:D::sentry:

Nice idea
Or no. Becasue it would make it more advanced and less likly to get added into the game. I agree it would be nice though.

Y'know Weegeeta, not all workshop miscs and hats need an effect. When has Valve ever considered using items? THE ROBOTIC BOOGALOO

No, because when some people just wanted to wear a hat, they'd hear annoying sounding static in voices.

or more like the player that wear can hear each other like a real walkie talkie works. and they could do something like a private voice chat or just the first thing that would be easier for valve.

Perhaps you could make it so that you can hear nearby enemy voice chat?

I think there should be a setting where you could hear the headset's very (very very) little biy of static, but when you click on the "style" you can toggle on, or off, when off, the headset mic is above his mouth.
