Just because it doesn't work, doesn't mean it's fake. It's just a problem on your end. Either that or you are too stupid to notice the difference.

If you want info on how this works, it's VERY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ simple. It adds little waves when you drop into the water, drive in it, or walk in feet high water, you can tell by the images.
