Huge perfomance decrease
It took me like 2 hours to check all my 470 addons through to see what makes my game run with 20 fps instead of 280 (short specs: ryzen 9 (3900x), rtx 2060 super and 16GB ram.) and when i enabled this addon and loaded any map the fps drop was humongus. as soon as I disabled it, the fps went back to over 200. Im on the x64 chromium branch. So this addon just isnt worth it anymore

your problem is most likely chromium branch rather the addon, most people complaining about stuff not working usually have the beta version instead the stable version.

I literally am running on a stable branch and it lags on a map that basically has no water bodies

I want to add more context to this discussion, I did some testing and found that this addon makes entities that would normally be culled out through vis/areaportals still cause fps drops despite the entity not being visible to the player.

I have an rtx3060, an adm ryzen 5 5600 and 16gb of ram and I still get 40fps when the addon is active

I constantly check my hardware metrics and nothing is at 100% (gpu core, cpu usage, ram usage), gmod is bad with optimisation and so is this addon buddy

bro same, im on the 64 branch with an rtx 2080 and this makes my fps stutter so i never get a consistent 60 fps, im uninstalling this since normal hl2 water physics are fine

i have the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rig as you and i'm getting 360 fps, highest settings, with like 550 mods.
