Dead2 destroy cores

In the dead2 scenario, I blew up a core (on the destroyed farm) with an explosive pack and did not get credit

I do not know if I had backed off too far away or what.

Unfortunately you must use direct damage (shotgun, pistol, assault rifle etc). It's a game limitation because the PDA can't credit you for the destruction if an explosive pack or rocket destroys it.
