demazure! help us I'm goin' mad here (spoilers alert)

Me and my friends have been spending a lot of time on your map and weve just found out about the benches and we just discovered many secret rooms. Including the rock artifact. I only have one question to ask: Does the rock actually do something? Or was it just put there? Anyone who has any clues may help.
