How do you think it would work with Gaia?
I don't know much about Gaia, but I can say that Archaic Ascension was meant to be separate from other dino mods.
Upgraded versions as in upgraded dinos I think
Yes, it's the evolved versions of the dinos currently. Eventually, Pikkon plans to have more Evolved forms, but his focus is on PF at this point. And there isn't any ETAs on it at this time.
Gaia isn't a core mod and is vanilla based so may need some stat reworks which are pretty easy to do with Gaia but shouldn't really conflict.
Just to be clear with the question in the subject:
I would say as long as the Dino mod isn't a Core mod, it's compatible. But I wouldn't say it 'plays well' as there is adjusting needed to play with other dino mods and normally mixing dino mods is not a great idea due to spawn issues.
Because they weren't made for Ascension. That isn't what OP was asking.
