Mod doesnt exist?

So I'm new to downloading mods, so I might be doing this wrong. But when I subscribe and download the mod, then launch, go under mods, click on the mod and hit upload, it says mod should not have archive field before upload. I hit fetch info and it says mod does not exist on steam. Any help?

Sounds like you are doing it wrong.
Once you open the launcher, you have to go to the mod panel and just select the mod you want to activate for that session (it is the same for DLC). No need to go to mod tool.
