The pistol only has 15 damage to begin with, so minius 25% damage would mean your'e only losing out on about 3 base damage. The potential to get up to 25 extra damage would be extremely powerful. Consider it like this;
Pistol; Spammable, 15 damage.
Jupiter; Have to aim your shots, 12-37 damage.

thanks man. and yeah ill admit i didnt get the numbers perfect. all i was trying to say was it would be cool to have a righteous-bision like weapon that does more damage with range.
But still, why even argue? Valve, if they ever get around to releasing Workshop weapons, would still create the stats. A great, healthy discussion, but with no proper reasoning to back it up.
