The main reason I was thinking it could be a secondary is that the DPS is abysmally low. Like, 100. The second lowest in the game is the magnum at 266. I increased the AWP's damage a bunch, but with the scout firing the same round as the snipers, I thought keeping the damage the same would keep things consistent. Maybe that doesn't matter. So, if all the other snipers are either faster or more damaging, it doesn't really have a place. That place could be as a very specialised secondary weapon. The scout is quite light/small, like, say, a guitar, so it might not be so crazy.

Hm ok, makes sense now. I guess I try to get used to it.

No problem, oh I also have a mod tester for l4d2 which is moving still so I could give advice from both of us once he comes back so ya.
Ok I try spawning the Scout with the shotguns by editing that unlocker. It seems it won't spawn somehow, so I ask the modder any advice so I get back with him later.
(idk I forgot to post it on here instead of mod comments. sry)

can you just publish the left handed bug fix instead of the rebalanced guns mod WITH the left handed bug fix? i dont like changing weapon stats that much.

my god dat bump. You can just extract the mod your currently using and change the 0 to 1 in left handed if i remembered. But you got do that for every css weapon script only,

Most custom CSS weapons already come with the fix, but since you're not allowed to change weapon scripts unless you're the server's host, it usually won't help online. Sorry!

I posted it in the mod comments, however it may fit better in here.
This (apparently) doesn't work in Realism, wether that's me doing something wrong, faulty code, or just isn't a feature I can't really tell.
I am doing things properly, tried both selecting single player and setting up a server and changing it to Local, none seem to work.
Is there a reason it doesn't work?

Thanks for letting me know- bug, not design choice. That's an odd problem, I didn't think Realism mode would touch the weapon scripts. It worked when I tested it as well. It does sound like you're setting it up correctly. Is it working when not in Realism?

I'll take a look at the files to see if there's something I'm missing.

I tried yesterday, and I should clarify, im opening my server from the realism option in the main menu, and not from the campaign mode, then switching modes.
oddly enough, I started up a server in single player, in the realism game mode, and it worked as intended
Don't really know if I even did anything, but it seems to be ok now.
Im starting to think it worked all along and I was wrong.

As to not clutter the comments section, I'll continue the feedback on AWP here. I've also experimented with weapons script personally for a while... this might sounds overpowered, but I quadrupled the AWP's damage output so that 115x4 = 460, and used AMMO_TYPE_GRENADELAUNCHER.
From what I could see it can stumble Chargers and Tanks, but with only 35 rounds on hand it definitely burn out fast. At least for bots.
For the total damage I think it's in par with the semi-auto snipers... specifically right between the hunting rifle and military sniper rifle.
Just a piece of info, I guess. I hope it helps, and sorry if the delivery looks awkward. I know English, but I don't type in it too often. Heh.
