In simpler terms (for anyone who comes across this review), if you're subscribed to other mods that replaces any textures, unsubscribe from them.
This problem happens when people are subscribed to multiple mods that's bound to crash their own or others' games. If you unsubscribe from mods you don't need anymore rather than keeping them installed - that'll free up space.
That's modding and playing 101 with Source Engine. Too many mods, too many problems. Keep it lightweight.
