I've just now noticed this discussion thread - apologies for posting my earlier suggestions in the main comments. Reiterating them for archival purposes with a few additions:
-A scoped Gewehr 98
-Stielhandgranaten
-Bayonets, if those can be implemented?

maybe you could make an K98 with an bayonet. so your colonists make an bayonet and then they take the K98 and craft them Together
Can MG 08/15 be introduced, similar to vanilla LMG, but with longer deployment (was that "warm up time" in weapon card?) time but better firepower?
Besides that, can Austria-Hungary small arms (like Mannlicher, Gasser revolver or Frommer Stop) be included in this mod, or they have to be in other mod?

Austrian and Hungarian weaponry would be good to see. Something like the Mannlicher rifle series or the Frommer M1912 pistol.

Gas batteries? like its stationary and faces a direction of choice and poisons everything in wide arce. like a more lethal and concintrated poison ship.

77mm gun is too weak. HE shells are pretty good against soft targets but AP shells are pretty bad especially against weaker armored droids like Centipedes.
In addiditon I would suggest you to improve maxim accuracy. It`s spray is so big that hitting is pretty rare and barrel usage is thremendous.

I think that you should be able to target the ground, and corpses w/ the WEX, as it is a bit of a hassle to use a Molotov cocktail instead of using a flamethrower. Also, I think that auto dropping the flamethrower when going in to melee combat makes it significantly harder to use in attacks, unless the flamethrower operator is supported by heavily armed colonists. So, my suggestion for the WEX is for it to do only a little bit of blunt melee damage, as I'm sure it wouldn't be very effective hitting someone over the head with the flamethrower. This is just my suggestion, but please take it into consideration.

The Reichsrevolver M1879 could be a cheap and not so time consuming to build, with some firepower behind it, however, the accuracy would be quite shoddy, and the heavy trigger combined with the force needed to ♥♥♥♥ the hammer will make it a slow shooter.
