This is a spolier-filled walkthrough / guide for everything in the mod. Read at your own peril and please be kind and don't spoil everything for everyone.

Finding the Digsite

The digsite has a 5% chance to appear each time you survey a molten world. The AI will not be able to find the digsite and thus will not uncover the relic.

When finding the digsite, you will get an event pop-up and have the choice of "Curious" which will spawn the digsite. The digsite may take a couple of days to appear, however.

Digsite Stages

The digsite has four stages, scaling in difficulty.

Stage 1
  • Difficutly: 2
  • Reward: Medium amount of minor artifacts.
Stage 2
  • Difficutly: 4
  • Reward: Medium amount of minor artifacts.
Stage 3
  • Difficutly: 5
  • Reward: Small amount of minor artifacts.
Stage 4
  • Difficutly: 7
  • Reward: Large amount of minor artifacts + relic.

From what I've been told the game messes about with the difficulties, but these are the general numbers.

Digsite Random Events

The Ziaskehorn digsite works differently than the other digsites in which the events have a general order in which they spawn.
- 0.4 % of event "Bickering among your Archaeologists" (loose clues)
- 0.4 % of event "Equipment Malfunction" (loose clues - I think)
- 0.4 % of event "Minor Artifacts Discovered" (small amount of minor artifacts)
- 0.8 % of event "Cursed Scientist" (kills head scientist, -1 clues)
- 81.0 % of event "Volcanic Eruption" (-5 site clues, only happens once)
- 16.2 % of event "Hot Room" (+3 clues, only happens once)
- 0.8 % of event "Magma Overflow" (200 energy credits for +3 clues, -2 clues otherwise)

After "Volcanic Eruption", "Hot Room" will happen, after which any event can happen except for those two. It is also possible that no events happen while you uncover the digsite if you make good roles.

Relic

Relic activation cost = 11,111 minerals and 200 influence
Relic activation time = 3600 days / ~10 years (standard for relics)

Relic effect = +20% militarist ethic attraction
Relic activated effect = +100% army damage, +100% army morale damage, +35% army collateral damage

After the relic's activation expires, you will get an event which will kill all of your Generals as they buckle under the power unleashed by activating the relic.
