I think we need more actual hiding spots and some flickering lights
I know there are crates that you can hide in, but having little areas, say, under some of the beds to prone and hide under, would really make the game more intense, since most of the time all you can do is hide next to a crate in a dark corner and eventually the monster just gets close enough to see your side and your dead, it's kinda disheartening

Also I think some of the lights in the very bright areas (specifically in some of the winding corridors) kind of take away from the scariness and the person with the flashlight isn't really needed all that much since there are so many bright areas. Perhaps if some of those corridors lights were flickering, it would looks spookier, and if they could have some boxes or objects in them to attempt to hide from the monster.

Maybe the monster can find a panel somewhere on the station and attack it! Causing the lights to flicker and mess up until they are fixed! More interactable with the monster would be cool!

Pretty much agree with all of this.

It would be great to also make each round less, rinse repeat, by introducing about 10 objectives and picking 5 at random for each round. That makes it less predictable for the raptor, and encourages players to go where they might not necessarily always go.

Loving the flickering lights idea.

When the raptor is stationary it definitely shouldn't be picked up on the motion tracker. This encourages engineers to pay attention more to "last seen areas" and allows the raptor to spring a few jump scares. Which are always hugely satisfying.

I don't know, I think its valid for the alien to show up on scanner when hes not moving. Otherwise camping would be too easy. If theyre not prepared for a camping alien its almost impossible to beat.

As it stands though I think the hiding is fine. If you're not making noise it can be very hard to find a hiding person in a corner or behind a box. Even lying in the middle of the floor or in a dead body works sometimes.
