I second the idea of having config for # of slots; for SP especially it would be nice to be able to store more. Or else perhaps to have several different box sizes as is done in other storage mods. But of the 2, the config option would be better IMO.
In my game, I was basically sticking this near S+ Vaults (with increased capacity) for easier transport but it would be even better if they could flat-out replace the vaults (e.g. metal vault with config storage AND linked to other ones).
EDIT:
Also, regarding the limiting goals mentioned in the description, I would request that if they are implemented, that it has config options so that server admin can decide how restrictive it can be on that server. I think a lot of those a good ideas for larger servers, but would be overly restrictive on small servers (I tend to play on dedicated with 1-3 people; for this, I would prefer not to have too many restrictions).
1) Limited number of boxes per channel - makes sense for large servers
2) Synchronization timer (24 hours real life time) - TBH, I don't really get what this means. I assume that it would need to add a timer (if there is not one already). If it is to improve memory/CPU footprint, then awesome. If it could potentially increase mem/CPU usage, I would rather leave it as-is bc I run a lot of mods already.
3) High Resource Cost to build - cannot be moved after placement
good defaults are nice but i think this should be very low priority as admins that are worried about it can already override crafting costs of both vanilla and mod items. See
https://ark.gamepedia.com/Server_Configuration#ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts
4) Scan area for certain number of owned structures (40+) before it is place-able. - main concern here would be from a performance perspective. this wouldn't really bother me or help me.
I agree, given my limited time, I probably won't start with those initiatives - I see a bigger return on investment to just keep adding features to the mod. I have some clean-up items I want to work through but I will try to focus on adding some more customization next.
Hey Jonnyblayde, It should already be possible to adjust this as you see fit using built-in Ark Configuration, something like this:
ConfigOverrideItemCraftingCosts=(ItemClassString="Blueprint'/Game/Mods/MagicBox/MagicStorage_BP.MagicStorage_BP'",BaseCraftingResourceRequirements=((ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemResource_Thatch_C",BaseResourceRequirement=1.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false),(ResourceItemTypeString="PrimalItemAmmo_ArrowStone_C",BaseResourceRequirement=2.0,bCraftingRequireExactResourceType=false)))
I'll see if I can find exact instructions.
Also, I see I missed zpangwin's post where overriding the mats is mentioned, so I'll check into that and see if I can find what I'm looking for. :)

I want to suggest, based on the sad situation with STRONGBOX, that you add those attributes to your box. I hope you like that idea. I have asked the SB developer, if he is okay with that, waiting for his answer. Also hoping, that you are okay with that, too.
Considering that the *implementation* literally could not be copied (since files were lost) and BG would have to make whatever feature from scratch... i understand it may be polite and i am not trying to come across as being mean/disagreeable... but generally, you only have to ask permission if you are using someone else's implementation, not when making a comparable feature from scratch on your own.
Anyway, if the feature you mean is adding icons/labels... while I do generally prefer that on static storage mods (like Echo's Stacking Storage or Oblexive's Extra Storage for instance), I am not sure that would make a ton of sense for linked storage. But could be that I use this mod different than you do. Not sure how difficult that is to do from the dev kit.... but if doing so required significantly increasing the mod size (and the thus the join time when connecting to server) then IMO it would not be a worthwhile trade-off. just my 2 cents.
Make sure to make backup copies of your mod files at different locations, and if you ever decide to give up, please upload all mod files to Github so your mod fan community can continue to update and upgrade your mod.
Always a big loss and frustration for thousands of players if a mod dies...
1TB are $100 USD nowadays. It's well worth it.
