2. When a player fails to catch a Pokemon does it remain on the board?
3. If a legendary Pokemon is defeated and there are no Pokemon to replace it in the slot does the space remain empty?
4. If a player forfeits a trainer battle do all of their Pokemon faint? In other words does forfeiting result in the "player defeated" scenario?
Thanks :)
1. Pokémon don't faint if they are caught, only when they are defeated for experience (in which case they go back to the Pokéball). If a Pokémon is failed to be caught after a battle, they remain on the space...
2. The Pokémon remains face up on the board. Another trainer can choose to catch that Pokémon or replace it with another random Pokémon (this will be added to the rulebook for clarification).
3. Yes. Under catch 'em in the rulebook:
"If there are no more of that colour left, then the space remains empty"
4. Forfeiting does not cause any more Pokémon to faint, so they will not have to discard half their cards if they still have Pokémon that have not fainted yet (they still lose the battle, of course).
Are players able to use catch items such as Ultra Ball on safari zone Pokemon once the item discard cost has been paid?
