If you have life support addon there should be a menu in the tools section called CAF. On that menu you need to pick resource node and place it on the ground, or anywhere. Then you place the zpm hubs with the zpm-s and equip smart link tool from the CAF menu, then press right click on the overloader and the zpm hubs, then left click to the resource node. After that you open the gate and press E on the overloader.

If you don't have life support, you just open the gate and press E on the overloader beacuse if you don't have life support, you don't need energy to turn on weapons / gates
