The helicopter is losing altitude at a steady pace of 2m/s. Is it a bug or a feature? Either way how do I prevent that?

Sounds like a bug. Could you upload a blueprint of the helicopter so I could have a look?

No, I cannot as I scrapped it and decided to go a different way with it as the rolling and yawing made clang angry. It did use modded propellers, was large grid and weighed about 100000kg if any of that info helps. Should've saved it but didn't think of that.

Hello. Do you still work on this script? For me lateral dampening is not working. I can see it changing state in the k menu, but it still dampens non lateral.

See if v1.12 fixes this. If not, can you please post your blueprint.

Hi! While my ship is hovering the gyros don't seem to be able to hold still, they keep lowering and increasing yaw and pitch, making the ship wobble. The problem is only occuring when standing still, while moving the script is working as intended.

I thought it's maybe subgrids or aerodynamic physics but even after removing both it's still jiggling.

My helicopter is steadily increasing in altitude at about 1m/s when I sit in it, I've experienced a similar issue using a front page workshop helicopter but it didn't increase quite as fast. I've also noticed that when you have multiple grids running this same script and you try to dock them to a larger grid all sorts of weird behavior happens even when you shutdown_toggle the program before docking.

Hi i found bug
Making A vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft do that your script disable engines on wings.
Ony fix i find is to remove wing engines (that rotate) from Heli Assist group.
Problem is i can no longer use your script altitude correction you have

The engines are on subgrid and maybe that is the problem here

@RoboPenguin This should be resolved as of v1.15

are you still active with this? i have used it on many ships before with no issues, but this last one i made i just cant get it to maintain altitude, it has a very slow drift downward. If i fly with vanilla setup the dampers have no trouble holding altitude, so i know it is not too heavy. other than ensuring all thrusters are in the group, and recompiling, is there anything else i am missing?
