World Type Suggestions
Have a certain kind of world you'd like to see? Let me know!

Just bare in mind they cannot be too similar to the DLC world type, Infested.

volcanic type would be nice with geothermal type energy...maybe also straight up Daygaba swamp jungle type...a water world...a crystal planet...maybe also a cloud planet...to name a few:steamhappy:

I tried a volcanic planet and the game just wont do it. If your any race on a volcanic planet it will make most of it into arcadina on spawn. Also you would have to mod the -8 unhappiness tile modifier into energy or somthing.

With all the Dune inspiration I think a desert planet would be a great place for different Syndicate houses to battle it out. Ideally with extra "sandworms" and lots of barren terrain.

Hello Jerrey,

I would like to MOD my own World-type and release it to the community like you did.
Is there like some basic guide out there somewhere how to do that?

The rest i can figure out by myself.

thx for your time.

what about a planet like pandora from borderlands, desert mostly maybe custom bandits and lots of monsters with ruins of a mega corporation in a place that haves lots of high level

or a post post apocalyptic world with 80% of the world with radiation and later you can add more content to it but as an easy one i think the post apocalyptic is a good one

Ocean type world with no continents, and dotted with clusters of small and medium islands.

A few come to mind:

1. Ocean World - No continents, lots of tiny islands. Possibly difficult to mod, due to needing to interfere with the actual terrain gen rather than probably just tweaking world settings.

2. Archipelago World - Similar to #1, but with lots of tiny continents, essentially. Also possibly difficult, for similar reasons.

3. Desert World - Fairly self explanitory. Mostly Arid, with a scattering of shrubs and forests and barren.

4. Dying World - A halfway point between Ravaged and Desert. Evenly split between Arid and Volcanic, with only tiny patches of arcadian/fungal, and likely little ocean. Lots of Chasms and Mountains and barren, with moderate quantities of ruins and shrublands, few rivers, plains, and forests. Moderate number of settlements but few dwellings.

5. Overgrown World - A halfway point between Feral and Capital, where life has flourished in the absence of humanity. Lots of ruins, roads, landmarks, and pickups, tons of forest and fungal and arcadian, and very few of the more inhospitabal terrains.

6. Death World - A planet of extremes - huge amounts of arctic and volcanic, lots of chasms and fungal and barren, very little landmarks/ruins/pickups. If possible, lots of extra monster spawners and fewer dwellings/settlements (dunno if that's influencable). Probably uses the 'patches' clime setup. Edit: Also if possible, use lava seas instead of ocean. (Saw this in the map editor)

7. Swamp World - Low-ocean world with tons of fungal/river/wetland/fertile. Not much in the way of shrubs/forests, and very little to none for arid and arctic. Probably fairly normal across the board for dwellings/etc.

8. Volcanic World - A high-chasm, high-volcano world with lava seas and lots of ruins/teleporters. You can actually pre-generate a lava-continents world in the map editor, so I assume this is doable.
---------

Those are all the ones that come to mind offhand. I dunno if any of them are like infested since I don't actually have that available to look.
