This is honestly a really cool mod! It's such a small thing, but honestly makes the game *that* much more immersive.

As immersive as a 2D sci-fi sandbox game can be, at least.

Perhaps an idea would be to add small quirks to each race's sets of armor that make them more... well, unique?

What do you mean?
If you're talking about racial quirks, that goes against the point of this mod since I want it to be fair for all races and not give certain ones an advantage.

I mean quirks in appearance, not statistics. Like a Floran could shape leaves onto their armors, or Avians could have feathered patterns... I'm just spitballing. x3

Well, the idea was makeshift armour that you would be able to make with the tools and materials

I really like your idea for tiered armours! Here's a few ideas for descriptions.
-Yes, I know the item names don't all suit the look of the items, I was just wracking my brain to make them different for the sake of variety.

Iron
Head: Iron Crest- A crude hat made from iron. You'll have the strongest neck around.
Chest: Iron Chestguard- A rough chestguard made from iron. Is this how a tortoise feels?
Legs: Iron Boots- A simple pair of iron boots. Never skip leg day again!
Tungsten
Head: Tungsten Skullcap- A decent cap made fron tungsten. And you thought the iron
crest was heavy...
Chest: Tungsten Chestplate- A solid chestplate made from tungsten. Like wearing a
mountain on your back.
Legs: Tungsten Leg-Guards- A reliable pair of tungsten leg-guards. Can resist a mighty
kick to the shins.
Titanium
Head: Titanium Helm- A light helm made of titanium. Take a load off!
Chest: Titanium Jacket- A jacket of titanium. Lighter than iron and tungsten, so it can be
laid much thicker.
Legs: Titanium Greaves- A pair of titanium greaves. Puts the "lite" in "hoplite".
Durasteel
Head: Durasteel Greathelm- A rugged greathelm made of durasteel. Deflects blows with
ease.
Chest: Durasteel Boilerplate- Sturdy durasteel armour shaped like a drum. As heavy-duty
as you'll get in most systems.
Legs: Durasteel Legplates- Pants made with durasteel plates. No more low-blows!
Aegisalt
Head: Aegisalt Crown- A light crown of aegisalt. Unhindered.
Chest: Aegisalt Brigantine- A coat with aegisalt plates riveted into it. Relentless.
Legs: Aegisalt Pants- A pair of pants with embedded aegisalt plates. Flowing freely.
Ferozium
Head: Ferozium Visor- A visor of ferozium. Unyielding
Chest; Ferozium Platemail- Plates and mail crafted with ferozium Merciless.
Legs: Ferozium Sabatons- Sabatons of ferozium. Violent intent.
Violium
Head: Violium Nanocap - Violium weaved into a cap. Unstoppable
Chest: Violium Nanomail- Violium weaved into microscopic chainmail. Fearless.
Legs: Violium Nanoboots- Violium weaved into boots. Purposeful Steps.
Solarium
Head: Solarium Vision- Solarium made into a helmet. See with clarity!
Chest: Solarium Might- Solarium made into a coat. As a titan!
Legs: Solarium Treads- Solarium made into pants. Stand Proud!
