Achievements and Level System

A Survivors Guide to the achievements:
A lot of the achievements are straightforward, but some of them are not quite clear when you try what you think is going to work. And I personally have had a couple of questions and saw a couple other questions about how to do these things. If you have anything to add, just let me know. I will update this as suggestions are added, and things are tested.

Food: Wortox's Souls do not count as an actual food item, and do not give XP (if you use that system) or progress to an achievement
  • First Bite: Eat any food items
  • Connoisseur: Eat 100 of any food items
  • Unaffected: Eat 10 Monster Lasagna (2 monster foods + 2 non-twig filler.)
  • Refined Diet: Eat 1 of every Crock Pot dish. (click the achievement, it would be a massive list)
  • Cold Windy Night: While taking damage from Low temperature, eat any warming foods
  • Hot Sunny Day: While taking damage from High temperature, eat any cooling foods
  • Pescatarian: Eat 10 Fish Sticks (1 fish, 1 stick, 2 non-twig filler)
  • Thanksgiving: Eat 10 Turkey Dinners (2 Drumsticks, 1 fruit or veggie, 1 meat)
  • Sweet'n Hot: Eat 10 Stuffed Pepper Poppers (1 pepper, 1 meat, 2 non-twig filler)
  • Calories: Eat 10 Bacon and Eggs (1.5 units of egg, 1.5 units of meat)
  • Tex-Mex: Eat 10 Guacamole (1 mole, 1 cactus or ripe stone fruit, 2 non-fruit filler)

Life:
  • Noobish Newbie: Wait around with no light source
  • Death From Above: Stand under the shadows during an earthquake
  • Beautiful Death: Pick a rose and die (not sure if cacti cound, will have to test that)
  • Deteriorated: Die to a gas cloud created by Toadstool
  • Ghostly: Just keep dying 10 times
  • Second Chance: Build a Meat effigy (Prestihatitator to prototype: 4 boards, 40 HP, 4 beard hair), bind it to yourself, and resurrect with it.
  • Messiah: Craft some Telltale Hearts (3 Grass, 1 Spider Gland, 40 HP) and use them on a dead player 5 times. Solo: Resurrect at Touch Stones
  • Sweet Home: Build a tent (Alchemy Engine to Prototype: 6 silk, 4 twigs, 3 rope) and sleep in it 12 times. You will need 2 tents for this. You can only sleep at night or dusk in this
  • Chilly Billy: Build a Siesta Lean-to (Alchemy Engine to prototype: 2 silk, 4 boards, 3 rope) and sleep in it 12 times. You will need 2 Siesta Lean-to's for this. You can only sleep at day in this.
  • Reflection: Craft 3 Life Giving Amulets (Prestihatitator to prototype: 3 Gold Nuggets, 2 Nightmare Fuel, 1 Red Gem), and haunt it after dying, or wear it as you take a fatal blow.
  • Care Bear: Take 10 crockpot dishs (not sure if regular foods work) and feed other players with it. Solo: eat 20 Monster Lasagna (recipe in Food).

Work: All these are self explanitory.
  • Have: Self explanitory as you just need to hold them, but Some could use some tips on how to get them.
  • Wild Ride: You need an alchemy engine, 2 living logs, 4 silk, and 68 butterfly wings.
  • Monkey Business: You can find bananas down in the caves near Splumonkeys.
  • Fungus Catchus: Spores spawn from Mushtrees in the caves during certain seasons Blue in winter, green in spring, and red in summer.
  • Skipper: (This needs testing) You need an Oar, Boat Kit, Anchor Kit, Sail Kit, and Steering Wheel Kit.
  • Meteor Hunter: Moon rocks are dropped by Meteor Boulders as well as the hound and werepig statues of the Moon Stone Event. Meteor showers create the boulders, and the Moon Stone Event spawns werepigs and hounds that turn into statues if they survive to the end.
  • The Seven Dwarves: Dig graves, Hammer Splumonkey pods, or trade with the merm king (Wurt Required). Not sure if they can be found in tumbleweed, but a couple trinkets do spawn from them.
  • Blood Sucker: Get a bug net, and use it on some mosquitos at dusk or night.

Like: Most of these are easy enough to do. Even more so with the Friend Zone Perk which is required if you play Wortox, Webber or Wurt, Though I think One-man Band might also work.
  • Cat Person: Give random things to catcoons like grass, twigs, silk, pine cones, birch nuts, and more.
  • Mommy-Long-Leg: Feed monster meat to some spiders. If you are not playing webber, you will need the spider queen hat for this.
  • Elf of the Forest: Pick mandrakes during dusk or night.
  • Angry Teenager: Kill a tallbird, harvest it's nest (trust me, you don't want it chasing you everywhere), and place it on the ground near your fire, but not too close or too far. You need a good bit of patience
  • Loyal Follower: You will need to find the Rock Den, but when you do, craft a pet from it.
  • Dark Side: Fill each slot with 1 Nightmare Fuel, then wait for a full moon.
  • Cool Guy: Same as Dark Side, but with blue gems.
  • Party: Make a One-man Band, then place it in hutches inventory alongside a Light Bulb or Glow Berry.
  • Warm Friend: You first need to kill dragonfly or Klaus, but either one may drop a Lavae Egg. Not Garunteed though, so be patient. Once you have an egg, set it near a fire for 2 days. Just don't let it get too cold.

Pain: More self explanitory stuff, just be careful as some of these drain your health
  • Phoenix: I'm not sure how to set yourself on fire, but I think other players can use the Fire Staff on you, you can probably get set on fire by Lightning, but I'm not sure of any other way to burn.
  • Cold as Ice: This one is really easy if you kill some ice hounds, or if you fight deerclops, have the ice staff used on you, and more.
  • Badger Lullaby: Have a friend use a sleep dart, smack Bearger in hybernation, cook a mandrake, hanging out on the lunar island with full lunacy is something I believe works, thanks to the gestalts being able to do that.
  • Paranoid: Your sanity must be at Zero for this to count
  • Swimming?: Make a boat, extend the plank, and take the plunge off it.

Fight: I'm just gonna tell you where to find some of these, as some are just hard to find.
  • Butcher: Beefalo occasionally enter Heat as mating season approaches. Just be careful as they are aggressive in this state.
  • Zombies: Hounds killed on the lunar island can sometimes become horror hounds
  • Slimy: Slurtles can be found in the caves as they spawn from mounds
  • Enraged Salad: Saladmanders can be found on the lunar island, but you will need to add a bath bomb to a nearby spring and wait for them to become colorful before fighting them.
  • No Pain No Gain: Fugu hutch (Hutch with 1 Spear and a Light Bulb or Glow berry) deals 30 damage to attackers. This damage is reduced to 1.5 with a marble suit. Healing Items don't help here as you need to kill hutch while your health is less than 10. It is highly recommended to pick up a health bar mod before doing this. If you can get a final blow, but you are above 10 HP, wait for hutch to heal (3 seconds) before you take another swing.

Hunt:
  • Short Circuit: Volt Goats become charged when they take lightning damage. Either hang around during spring, use Wickerbottoms special book, or use a weapon that deals lightning damage like the morning star.
  • Chicken Dinner: Moslings spawn in spring, but are protected by Moose Goose, and even call it if threatened. Despite what the name says, you can kill them after Moose Goose to get the achievement.
  • No Mercy: MacTusk spawns alongside this little guy, but Wee MacTusks will run when you kill MacTusk. Luckily, MacTusk drops a Blowdart which can one-shot a Wee MacTusk from a distance. Just watch those hounds
  • Pinned Down: Ewecus is found by following suspicious dirt piles, and getting a surprise. But you will need to freeze it to even get close, and don't even think about dodging the projectile. You may also want to start a rope burning next to it so you can stunlock it.
  • Let the Dogs Out: Vargs are found the same way as Ewecus's and Koalephants, just be careful about the hounds they spawn to assist them
  • Deadly Amount: Monkeys are found in the ruins near dens, and bananas. Just be very careful as they can overwhelm you fast.

Boss: For these ones, I'm just going to tell you where to find the bosses, but you need to find the guides on your own. Though certain bosses are easy enough to find like Dragonfly
  • Grinch: During winter, you can find Loot Stashes. Attempting to unlock one will spawn Klaus.
  • Sea Monster: Malbatross spawns near Deep Bass shoals, but you need to kill it within 3 days of finding it, or it will despawn, and you will need to find it all over again.
  • Pharao: The Ancient Guardian can be found in the ruins. Just look for some terrain that looks like a maze.
  • Conqueror: You need to find the Atrium, add the Ancient Key to the Ancient Gateway, build the Fossil and make sure it's built right, then use the Shadow Atrium on the completed fossil to finish the fight.
  • Avenger: Toadstool can be found in the caves, and turned into Misery Toadstool by placing a canary nearby.
  • Killer Bee: Bee Queen can be summoned by hammering the Gigantic Beehive
  • King of the Hill: This is more of a list as this may not be obvious: Deerclops in Winter, Moose Goose in Spring, Antlion in Summer, and Bearger in Autumn

Misc:
  • Trader: Trinkets can be found by digging graves, hammering broken clockworks in the ruins, and picking tumbleweed
  • Fuzzy Friend: If you feed Antlion freshly made Thermal Stones, or slightly cooled ones, you can get all 5 done in one season. Antlion spawns in the Oasis Desert during summer.
  • Ancient Knowledge: The ancient chest in the ruins next to the pseudoscience station can be filled with a Thulecite Medalion, a cut stone, a nightmare fuel (those 3 are constant for all recepies), a carrot, a berry, and a flower petal (or reverse the carrot and petal if you like) in that order to get a bowl blueprint. Learn one relic replica blueprint to complete this achievement.
  • Dancing Star: Dance alongside other surviviors 50 times, more friends means fewer times. Solo: Dance alongside a meat effigy.
  • Fast Traveler: Wormholes, Telepoofing, Telelocation, and Soul Hopping all count towards this achievement. Just watch your sanity if using anything other than Soul Hopping
  • Crank: You cannot be wearing something like an Eyebrella, or the Rain Coat when you are struck. But you can spawn in lightning with Wickerbottom's book: The End is Nigh

Mile: These achievements are completed as you play the game. Just remember to actually ride a beefalo a few times.

You do need to find the chest, but you should be able to do so just fine.

Why don't you read the post? It's under Misc, and it INCLUDES A RECIPE.

Yup, everything is either a static recipe, or cosmetic only. Some recipes are complex, but the only randomly generated recipes are those that have been randomized by a mod. And for anyone reading these comments, each achievement has instructions which apply to all games, and sub-instructions if the first set cannot be fulfilled in certain conditions.
