However, imho AA rocketspam is pretty annoying since u cant do much against it just to spam back countermeasures. So i suppose it could be much more entertaining if it was more intensive small arms fire near LZ instead of AA shooting. Coz small arms leave u more options for maneuver and grants more chances.
Apart from that I think mission shouldnt end when ghosthawk is destroyed. As for me I've always liked crashlanding process ^^ Maybe u can add an option to call for extraction in a case u survive the crashlanding? So u could get back to base, spawn a new heli and try again.
About the extraction, let's see what I can do!
I suggest converting this to a SIngleplayer/Multiplayer missions and make settable parameters such as ambient combat.
Also, make the time only changable till you leave the base, so as soon as you left the airfield/medical FOBs zone you lose the option so it doesn't become annoying later on.
Also make escort choppers and UAVs that you can call in to support or recon a area and perhaps make transport choppers you can call in full of troops to take over a heavily guarded town or secure a LZ to get the injured patients on board.
Very fun, however the mission feels bland, it feels like you're the only one in the battefield and the AI are just sitting there untill you arrive.
- Have one or a few medivac/hospital setups to drop off the troops you've picked up rather than coming back to home base. (Drop off only, for repairs having to fly back to home base or a FOB)
- Less AA, more HMG or similar. The terrain on the big island doesn't lend itself to tacfly (the little island would be much better for that). And removing the red/blue areas and replace with mil symbols in approx locations.
- Second helicopter to formfly and rescue if your shot down.
