Loading and unloading
Is there a way to insta-load the ships like there is for caravans normally? Having to setup a stockpile then have them load form there is kinda awful.

Yes the next update has a loading feature that puts it in a job rather than a lord (how a caravan normally is). You can instant form caravans btw by being in debug mode

Ooh wait I thought this was on Boats page :winter2019joyfultearsyul: I need to pay more attention. So there is not an instant load feature without devmode, but there is loading in progress if you want to load the SRTS ahead of time, so your pilots don't go crazy during the loading. Then they'll treat it as a job rather than a lord (lords keep going until completed, no breaks). Look at the srts description for a link to my mod called Loading in Progress. Or you can board the pawns manually later on, I added a right click action for active SRTS transport groups where you can board the pawn directly.

Is it possible to add a setting so that the ship(s) are not automatically unloaded when arriving? I was really lucky and got Genesis techprints early (ancient dangers are actually useful at times) and have been going back and forth between two settlements but also on raids, and having to completely reload the ship after an extra stop nearly ended in disaster. I realize it might be a base game thing, not a mod thing, but I though I'd at least ask.

It's not a "setting" that has the SRTS unload on arrival... it's the main mechanic of transport pods. When a transport pod takes off, it deletes the transport pod building and spawns a skyfaller. When a transport pod arrives, it spawns a skyfaller and on landing, deletes the skyfaller and spawns the building. Between these "states" of the transports, it spawns all of the items that were in the skyfaller so they are not lost. What I will have to do, and what is already planned (you all should really read the trello board... cause this question among other are asked on a weekly basis) is to add an inventory system so that the items are not jettisoned out onto the floor, but add a button for the ITab inventory page to unload everything.
