while using this mod while playing co-op with a friend it will automtically take over the second player until the room is cleared and there is no way to regain control while P2 is in combat.

sounds like the AI mod is active, you can disable that in the settings by pressing F10 and going to the potatopack3 menu, look for AIsaac

ive been using it while testing gaia updates, are there any error messages in the console?

Okay my bad, tested it out now, and it specifically only activates when there are others in the room (since you copy them). Usually effects like that either produce a negative sound to show it doesnt work like that or they are used without an effect. I assumed that since it wasnt activating at all, that you cant activate in general. Sorry.
