Help
If you have more information in regards to uniforms and equipment used, please share them. Information online is limited for most nations in South/Central America.

I can share you a digital copy on the Brazilian Expeditionary Force in WW2 from Osprey if you want? If so, I can also ask around if any of my buddies has any other Osprey books regarding the uniforms of Latin American forces during the period ;)

Chile during the 10s, 20s and 30s used Mostly mausers, but also during the 30s the Chilean army had the MP34 as their SMG, and during later years during the 2nd world war, in 1942, The Chilean army began to use the M1 Carbine, my Suggestion is making the Default/Generic rifle and SMG models for Chile slightly different, while the 1942 weapon model could be the M1 Carbine instead of a generic one.

I decided to keep Brazil more neutral in its uniform style. I know full well about the expeditionary force, but, found it had too 'American' of a look. I am trying to keep most nations as neutral as possible, given that players rarely tend to copy history. I may add this to another mod of cultural graphics that allow players to field American equipped South American nations if they so choose, but not in the default mods.

Thanks for the info on Chile, thought I gave them the Austrian/Swiss MP34, but maybe missed them. I am probably going to keep them with the FN49, as it is a much more neutral weapon than the M1 Carbine.

My grandpa was in the Peruvian Army, their uniform its like your Chilean or Argentinian uniforms, but with a light yellow color(like the Usa paratroopers) or camuflage(in the case of modern Jungle troops, usually in this mods they use the ww1 era jungle troops uniforms, very different from 1940s tipe) with a dark grey or black german Stahlhelm.
Also they used around the 1930s to late 40s German K98s, named 'Peruvian Mauser', altough i dont actually now what weapons could be used for the 39' and 44' weapons, i suggest using the MP28 or 38, and for the 44, the Spanish importated Sturmgewher 45 or the normal 43/44.

I will check out more info or ask him about them if you need it

So neutral, in that case i recommend to put the mausers, they are like the main weapon of that time army, even used for training during the cold war, and for todays school military aprades, choose what you think is the best for the late ww2 equipment(remember they dont import from allied nations til the cold war, mostly from neutral or license from axis nations).

good luck=)

Strange, because I can find no reference at all to Stahlhelms in the Peruvian army, with all pictures showing the M26 Adrian, or the M33, or the M1. The uniforms shown in the Zarumilla war are also green in nature. Pictures would be helpful! Thanks!

Also, Chile does have the Swiss/Austrian MP34 already.
