Johnny Bravo Tank!
A moddeling challenge?
I saw your mod, susbscribed and checked it out. I've gotta say, it's pretty good. But I've got an idea. I've allready made (but not published) a mod that makes the tank music into the battle music from "The Incredibles", my favourite movie. Me and my friend were thinking of making a mod that makes the tank INTO Mr Incredible, but neither of us has any 3D moddeling experience. So when I saw your mod, I was like, "Hey, here's a guy just getting into 3D moddeling, he/she understands how it works and has made a good mod out of it." So here's my proposition - We start a project. I have enough sound-related modding experience to cover the voice, music and effects side of the mod, but you would need to do the textures / models, to make the tank into Mr Incredible and the bits of road he throws at you into trees (like the one he picks up near the start of the film.)

If you're interested, let me know here, or add me if you feel like it.
And even if you're not, good luck in the modding world (does that sound patronising? It wasn't meant to :P You probably have more experience than me.)
Anyway, think about it.

Hey- sorry it took me so long to get back to you. That sounds like a good mod idea, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to help. I was only able to model this because I got a trial version of 3dsmax and simply added hair to the existing tank model. Creating a more exact likeness of mr incredible would be out of my realm of expertise. I could make a texture to look like Mr Incredible, but that's about it, sorry!

I didn't read that as patronising at all. Best of luck to you too!

That's exactly what I was meaning.

I mean the only adjustments you would need to make are shorten the hair and change the colours. (I tried to do just that by editing the texture file from your mod, but It was hard for me because I had no idea where the colours were going to go on the model and had no previous experience of texture modding.(the "i" sign was upside-down and on his back XD))

I wasn't thinking that the mod I proposed would be some epic king of the workshop, just that it might be a challenge for us both to make, and funny to use. I specifically picked you because I saw that you were just starting moddeling, and I am similarly experienced in sound mods, so I thought we would make a good team. Neither of those aspects of this mod would be at a professional standard - just something we can make for fun.

I would really love to see this mod made, and I think it would be interesting to do. If you don't feel up to it, that's fine, and I don't want to seem pushy, I just thought we could have some fun making our bits, and working together to produce a mod with more aspects to it than many on the workshop.

I hope you agree to try it out - what's the worst that could happen?

Sorry for not responding for so long, I thought I had. I really appreciate your enthusiasm. Unfortunately, it's something I lack. I'm stuggling with depression and it's hard for me to rely on myself, let alone to let others rely on me. But I sincerely wish you the best on this project. The drive you have is a very valuable thing, and I hope you keep it alive and satisfied with projects like the one you described.

Regretfully,
RG

T(h)anks for responding. <--------(was that joke even worth it?)
I appreciate that you would rather not take part in this project. I also wish you the best for mods you make in the future. Thank you for being so up-front with me when discussing our ideas.

Goodbye and good luck,
