Unable to use events from other mods?

So I downloaded the Thanos/Snap mod because it seemed interesting, however the event never started, and when I tried to use it via console command it didn't run- this happened even after I changed the eventID in question. Is there something in MEIOU that prevents me from using events in other mods?
