Blockhead (Cubism Style)

It´s well made but
I really think it´s unfitting, and also too similar to the real thing, I´d only think the first style could get in, unless Valve wants to get a lawsuit from Microsoft. Props to the creator tho, it is well made.

Microsoft doesn't have the rights to the entirety of this blocky style. They own the rights to Minecraft. If this was, say, a Creeper than this would probably be a different story.
And besides, there is already a Minecraft item in the game, The Top Notch.

As I said, the first style is alright, the other ones directly uses minecraft item textures, and that can cause some problems.

They are inspired by minecraft textures, a parody if you want to call it that. But the textures are not the same from minecraft only similiar so they have no right to sue Valve or whatever, its entirely safe!

If that is really the case I wish the maker good luck.
It's Just a mod though

I very much dislike it, and it doesn't fit in the game.

Here we go again with another improvised lawyer!

Voxel art isn't property of Microsoft.

Exactly. It makes direct nods to being inspired by Minecraft, but just being made of blocks doesn't mean it's ripping it off. If making things in the art style of another game was illegal, then games like Trove and Cube World would be in trouble.

you can say whatever about it not fitting tf2s artstyle (and i agree) but at least its not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jojo or a less tame artstyle breaking cosmetic that the workshop is full of.

You Can't Sue Someone over the Concept of Blocks

the normal skin fits well but the cursed and constructed looks off

Why would microsoft sue valve for using a blocky artstyle in their game? That's like Da Vinci suing anybody who drew a human body.
Bemosbrub 29 Sep, 2019 @ 11:47am
Not sure how you can get sued because of using blocks...but ok.

Your opinions are invalid. You idiots really believe that you can change Valves mind with your useless opinion.

"It doesn't fit in the game" <- Valve is a big company with large servers, it will fit into the game along with the other 3000 hats. To say TF2 has no room for a single hat which wouldn't take up much space because it doesn't take up 30GB of data to make. You fuddyduddy.

"It's unfitting" <- What exactly fits into TF2? Banana hats and the Ricardo meme? You must be a right cumberground. You're not the dictator of what is fit and unfit for an inherentley silly game where the community feast of weird and unusual hats like a bunch of jackanapes.

These points can only be made by milksops who are upset that their opinions have no say in the community or Valve's decision making.
