SMAA possible with steam version of gem?
I have been trying to using gemfx 1.09 downloaded from steam workshop on rome 2 to see if the game would look better, since it look like crap compared to shogun 2, and then i tried to apply the standalone version of gemfx 1.09 on attilla and rome 2, but as i am not so experienced with sweetfx/gemfx, I am not sure if I have done it correctly? Frankly I have difficulty seeing the difference between having it applied in the mod manager or not in rome 2, except for a bit more oversaturation, and the Units still look a bit rough on the edges although i turned off aa in-game and thought 2xfxaa from the gemfx would be enough, but it wasnt so I tried to see if I could fix it somehow, so i downloaded sweetfx configurator, found the rome 2 exe, and added sweetfx to it, and got the option to turn on msaa, and i guess it worked, unless its just a placebo effect on my side, and I just wish it works.

Then I downloaded the standalone version from:
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?672483-A-R2-TW-GEMFX-Version-1-0-8

I was suprised to see that the standalone version
contained the gemfx_configurator.exe where you could adjust the settings, i always prefere to toogle off DOF, Motion blur, HDR, Blur, Film grain, HBO, Shadows, prefering a clear view, with as little distraction, with lowest shadow and terrain quality possible. Something that confused me was how come the configurator is not included with the steam workshop version although it say so in the steaminstaller? I wonder how I am able to change my settings so that I can use smaa and not fxaa if possible, since it does a better job at rough edges and less blur. Also when trying to change the smaa, the option is there under experimental, but greyed out and i cannot change the smaa, but does it mean 4xsmaa is already toggled on default or that the option isnt avaible at all? Then how can i turn msaa on? Also if I am using gemfx and sweetfx at the same time will it break multiplayer compatibility with others not using the same mods? Thats why i wanna know whether i can turn on msaa on with gemfx steam workshop version, so i dont need the sweetfx. I am not sure if Gemfx and sweetfx are good pals working together or conflicting with each other? I hope someone can elaborate a bit on this whether its good coctail or not, so I dont need both installed same time if its not nessecary and gemfx can simply just replace sweetfx. Besides to make the game look more decent despite having so few configuration options in-game, i also have turned on antialiasing to 8x in nvida control panel for rome2.exe and anisotrophic filtering to 16X, antialising mode on enhancing application settings, antialialising-transparency to 8x supersample, multi-frame sampled aa(mfaa) on, anisotrophic sample optimization on, negative lod bias on, texture filtering quality on high quality, trilinear optimization on, and v-sync off since i have g-sync, what else can I do to make the game look better?

Thanks in regards.

Ok i figured out, how i get the gemfx_configurator setting. which mean i needed to press that icon looking like a hyperlink, named gemsteaminstaller in the rome 2 root folder. But how do I turn on 4x smaa?
