Spell Name: Acid Splash
Problem/Suggestion: Long SFX
Description: After casting acid splash a sound plays for too long.
This is great. I feel like they should be a little louder though.

I agree. This is great. I feel the vocal portion of the spell is a little less audible than the sound effects, but I'm not sure if you can adjust those individually. Overall, it feels like the vocals and effects could be 5-10% louder in the mix. Hope that helps and thanks for your efforts!

Volume increased, let me know how it turns out.
Hi there. I tried your sound mod the first time today. Because I loved the voices during casts in the baldurs gate games. Much more awesome than NWN.

VERY good job you made on that mod!!! Thanks a lot for your work!

But my opinion: The voices could still be a little louder. Only if you like them to be more like whispers (compared "dungeon and dragons: online") they are ok. But if you want them to fit inside NWN they should be louder.
I even play nwn without music and today my first thoughts are that maybe my speakers loudness is set too low. But after I turned them up spellvoices where ok but all other sounds of the game where too loud.
So ..... I'm already started to think about turning the voices up by myself... ^^
Would try another 25% higher...

(or compare the loudness with the original vanilla files and try to reach same volume)

Anyway: AWESOME JOB!!! ^^

In order to modify the sound files, locate under Steam > steamapps > workshop > content > (#'s) > (#'s). The following file prefixes indicate what you want to modify casting:

vs_chant_: Voices.
sco_: Magic sounds accompanying (most) spell casts.

Once you have modified the files as you like, you need to place them in your NWN override folder, located in your "my documents" folder (to avoid the workshop undoing your work). Using Audacity for example, will allow you to open multiple files in the same project as tracks. From there you need to amplify the tracks, then export them as multiple. Make sure to use 16bit mono WAV format or they won't play (Audacity likes to open them as stereo tracks).

Useful info out of the way, thank you for the feedback! I've never played "dungeon and dragons: online" and I realise I cannot please everyone's tastes for volume. Optimally Beamdog needs to implement new audio sliders to enhance the user experience.
