So, Anstein is kind of a problem on the art side. Pretty much everything she does is complicated; she has scales, a heavy weapon, is physically large, and has a lot of complicated attack motions. What this means is that her animations take an extremely long time to make.
So long, in fact, that I'm not sure if she's worth the effort. I could make two different high quality characters in the time it would take me to finish one Anstein, or maybe even more. Especially given that a lot of the time, I barely want to work on her at all, because of how daunting the task is.
I had started a resprite of Anstein, in the hopes that the resprite would be easier to animate. And it was, and is, but it's still not easy. There's still a lot of persistent problems that make her difficult to animate regardless of simplified scale patterns or anatomy or whatnot. If I do end up finishing her, it'll be much further ahead, maybe somewhere late fall this year, and it will be with help. Maybe a lot of help.
So, don't hold your breath. I may not ever finish her. That doesn't mean I don't care for her or don't want to; it's just the challenge she presents is not one I'm capable of overcoming at the moment. I know this isn't what a lot of people want to hear, but it's the truth.
I have other characters in the works. Simpler ones, but they're still cool, and I'm still putting my heart into them. Look forward to those, and don't forget to enjoy the dozens of fantastic workshop mods already out there.
This is just a opinion you don't have to give out your unfinished work to anyone just a thought...
Thanks for the response
