Saved characters not loading
This appears to be an issue with several people judging from the comments and my experience, is it perhaps a mod incompatibility issue or is it a honest to god bug?

I've been able to load my pawns as long I've had skills and traits copied on an old save before going to a new one. I don't know if you'll need to make a new pawn from scratch like I did, but it's saved me trouble since then. Hopefully it works for you too, and anyone else having this issue.

Considering the massive amounts of traits I slap on a character, that'd be my main complaint in the first place. As long as I can copy those I don't really care about the rest. I'll test it out on a new game when I'm done with my current playthrough and come back.

Just broke for me after I added a few mods. Was working before.

I cannot load saved characters from the slots when making characters before starting a game.

Okay so try the solution Auren does, it loads the complete character.

im having this issue as well with android tiers right now
i tried deleting all gear and re-saving in new slots, they will not load in new save

i wanted to save them and import them in a new save world

BUT my T4 robot will load just fine but my T3 T2 and few T1's will NOT load, i click the names and nothing happens menu stay's open and it acts as if i never clicked them to load

on a side note trying to place a load in current save they was made from gives this error and dont place them

i really dont get it, it talks about apparel and even if i strip that android down to the birthday suit, have game run alittle save in a new slot and try to load still same error no matter what android i try to load ALL but that 1 T4

a interesting thing i found out is T4 btw was made pre-save start as sole starting pawn, he created the other 5 androids i want to add to new save.

the interesting part is non of the crafted androids he made will load after making save of them

BUT i had a t1 join shortly after starting called conner i was not going to have join new save BUT he will save and load...

so by my testing i get the feelz crafted androids in the save will save but not load?! i wonder if this is a mod conflict or related to android tiers

so after some testing and using only core mods needed to run android tiers char editor mods i still get the bug that only crafted androids cannot be loaded after saving them still.

im wondering if this issue is in mods that allow pawns to have children and if they will not load either?
if anyone has tested this one, that would be interesting to know lol

go to mod options of this mod, find the slot with your pawn and copy paste the string with pawn that is not loading here and post the exact modname of the mod you use or a link to the mod.
i will check it next month, when i am gonna do updates for this mod.

FYI... in the character editor menu if you try to change a characters race/species you cannot change your character into certain androids, you click it and nothing happens. T5 being the noteable one. Perhaps that is part of the issue.

EDIT: Yep, I just got the load character part to work by changing nothing except their race in the saved file (after trying for awhile changing other things).

o i just noticed the crafted android race says "AndroidT2Colonist" and the other says "AndroidT2ColonistGeneral"

you saying by playing with that u can get them to load?
im about to head to a appointment but i might have to give that a try later

i have finally had time to run test last night, i crafted a new android
Saved> Loaded> error!!>edit race name from "AndroidT2Colonist" to "AndroidT2ColonistGeneral">try loading pawn again & IT WORKED!!

question to auther is would this be error on your end or the android tiers mod?
is it saving as the wrong race name?
if not how can the game spawn the android in first place under that name & char editor cannot?
so many questions & being i dont know much about coding and auther of this mod prob knows nothing of android tiers >.< im afraid im prob being annoying asking to many wild random questions lol
