Here we go. As Devouring Swarm I "borrowed" Mighty Rune's digsite from another empire. After completing archeology, I received message about Collector,that have already found this rune, So I just killed Collector and got the rune. But empire,that previously owned last rune digsite,somehow got the rune too at the same time as Collector. They had victory score bonus for relic and rune wargoal. So Mighty Rune just duped.

I just fixed it and uploaded it. The maintnence system i put in place a couple of days ago was not taking into consideration whether or not the collector had the runes so doups were being made. thank you very much!

Everything works well for me except the snap : it didn't kill enemy empires I had a truce with, marauders, any kind of "special" empire ( like the ones that come from the L-Gate event chain ), and for some reason only one of my vassals, but my 5 other vassals got snapped too

This bug doesn't seem to have been fixed. Just finished a war for the Arcane Rune and it was still given to another empire.

Can you share the console commands for adding the runes?

Sure! i added you on steam so u can explain me the case scenario too

console command to add all runes:
event pr_debug.1
The snap works fine but organic hiveminds are immune, player and npc ones.

I'm having the same issue. Declares a rune war. Victory also destroyed the empire. Never got the rune.

Mod updated to solve it!
War for Power Runes no longer cede claimed systems on victory.
This was done to fix the fact that once a country is destroyed there is no way to find out who the destroyer is, so runes could get lost and show up in random empires

Re the change to the casus belli, I kinda feel the cure is worse than the disease. The AI is rather eager to declare a war for the runes if it can, and IMO it hurts AI performance quite a bit if they absolutely crush an opposing empire, but then instead of taking several planets with claims on them, they just take the rune.

Perhaps there could be two rune casus belli? One the old one where you also take your claims, but which can only be declared if your opponent is at least equivalent, and then another one which vassalizes the opposing empire, but which can only be declared if the opposing empire is inferior. Should at least reduce the cases where the rune disappears.
