Skin not selectable when subscribed, was working earlier?
Hi.

The skin was working for me first thing this morning.

It is now not selectable though, even though I am subscribed and my other skins have disappeared.

I did have a skin names FM Classic but that disappeared after a restart.

Keep up the good work SI, thank you.

EDIT:

I opened my save game and my other skins are now visible as they were not before. The Dark Skin is still not selectable though.

You need to be in the FM skin to change skins. Load an FM game then give it a go.

Is it displaying the workshop -> In-Game tab?

Have you tried clearing your cache: http://www.footballmanager.com/faq/?game=38&id=217

This sounds unusual as there haven't been any changes since midnight.

Hi.

Many thanks for the reply.

I have cleared the cache, deleted my SI folder in "Documents" and still the same problem.

Also, there is a "Steam Workshop" folder appearing in the SI> FM14 folder in documents containing 256MB of images, any idea where are they coming from if I am not subscribed to anything?

Thanks.

If you previously had graphics carried over from the beta / a previous version, when you go into the Workshop for the first time the graphics are moved to this location.

Have you tried unsubscribing and subscribing again?

I'd suggest restarting FM in between unsubscribing and subscribing again. .

The colours of myne are all messed up, it's more light then dark, I can't see anything... I've tried everything, can't understand what is going on..

I'm subscribed to both dark skins.....I have dpwnloaded the base_dark2014 folder and placed it in skins along with the base_fm14 skin (which works fine).....when I select the base_dark2014 skin from the drop down box in-game it tries to load it then crashes (3 times so far)....There is not an option for the Basic Dark skin........I have unsubscribed, re-subscribed, closed down Steam, re-started steam......cleared cache....crash again.....I've wasted 3 hrs of the day on this...I'll just move on and fiddle with the game in the base_fm14 skin...oh well..

count_greenman, do you have any crash dumps or crash reports for this issue you're having?
HolyDiver 31 Oct, 2013 @ 11:29am
Same problem except it has never showed up in the skin tab.

Hi,

I already subscribe, but i didn't found de download. Can you please help me?
HolyDiver 31 Oct, 2013 @ 11:47am
Nvm I got it working.
You have to move your graphics folder where your facepacks/logos/kits are if you downloaded any or else the game will freeze when you view the workshop. You can put them back after you apply the new skin
You also have to download the skin ingame using the download menu from the start sceen. Downloading it using Steam doesn't work as it doesn't show up in the preference menu.

Doing a complete uninstall/reinstall.

Maybe something to do with the update from BETA to RTM?
daherlihy 31 Oct, 2013 @ 2:56pm

All now working after uninstall/reinstall.

Easiest way to install Dark Skin is to rename your Football Manager 2014 folder with all your custom Graphics in to HHHH or something similar while not in Steam or FM2014. Then you need to load FM2014 and this will then create a brand new Football Manager 2014 folder without any custom graphics, then you can go to the Workshop to download the Dark Skin, once complete, go back to the new Football Manager 2014 folder and cut the Dark Widgets and Config file and place this in your HHHH folder where your custom graphics are. Once you have finished this, Exit Steam and delete the new Football Manager 2014 folder, then rename the HHHH folder back to Football Manager 2014 and wallah, you will have the Dark Skin and all your custom graphics also. Job done.
