Bots seem to default to using the knife if they're close to a zombie. This is the number 1 cause for them constantly getting gangbanged. I feel they should never ever use the knife at all, considering they have unlimited ammo. And again, making them not use the knife will also make it so they don't get constantly sandwiched which gets annoying

Bots get stuck trying to jump up the wall in front of the altar in the Zet starting room instead of using the slope next to the wall to get to the player if they go right of the slope too fast https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1894299200

The bots get stuck trying to get to you when you go up the clock tower in Eisendrache too fast. The bots get stuck in the Rocket Launch area if you fail to get them inside the teleporter/jump pad as you use them

The bots appear to get sucked into this specific spot in Zet and get stuck there no matter the commands you give them https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1894634458 I encountered a similar problem in Shi no Numa upon setting them to "Wander mode" accidentally, although i have yet to test Wander mode and will get back to you when i have done so since i suspect there may be a lot of potential for issues like this. In the meantime, may i suggest a command to teleport the bots to the player's location?

The bots seem to be downright terrified of the jump pads in Rev. That said, it's insane how they are intelligent enough to use the various portals to get to you but can't use the simple jump pads lol

There's an issue where the bots move around a lot as they shoot and it's a problem when you're trying to teleport back to the Moon from Area 51 (some bots keep getting out of range of the teleporter). Perhaps there might be some way to tell the bots: "hey, if you're in 'following' mode and the player is inside that teleporter pad, stay inside it no matter what". Perhaps that could be extended to other stuff like Luna Landers, other teleporters, and jump pads of that kind? It's only really a problem with the tp in Area 51, the rest would just be an added bonus basically

The bots cancel cutting the webs underwater in the Zet Power room by bumping into you. You have to tell them to wait outside.

The bots don't seem to say anything save for quips when first spawning on Round 1 (and the conversations in Primis maps). Please tell me there's a way to fix this, i need the sweet banter T-T

Getting the bots to come with you when using the teleporters/jump pads/luna landers is super difficult. Although this isn't really a big issue to be fair. That said, they should be a bit better at using means of transportation in order to get to you if it is required of them

Dedicated mod menu when you press pause. Trigger a "Killing time" effect when paused (zombies can't move) so you can do whatever you need without having to rush.

Use the current menu for selecting individual bots and telling them what to interact with "Use..." or tell them where to camp (Move to...), so you can essentially tell them what spots to cover while camping. This also solves possible issues where the bots get in the player's way, which happens often.

Make them look a little bit to the right and left when they're standing still, and if it's possible make them turn around if they detect an enemy behind them (essentially give them cone vision behind them and if they see something they turn around, if it can't be done just make them turn around occasionally when they're set to "camping"?)

Would it be possible to give them Double Tap by default? Alternatively, you could make it so when PaP is opened, every gun they get from that point on will be Upgraded so they can keep up?

I think wander mode should solve most of the problems with bots getting stuck. Last resort is to dismiss and respawn them for the next round.

Unfortunately I still don't know how to spawn them in before the match(lobby). :-(

Learning how to use the bot behavior in different modes is meant to be part of the fun of the mod. For example, if you go down while the bots have wandered too far away... they won't be able to get to you because you're out of their detection range.

I don't the have the 4 DLC maps, so i won't be able to check those until i do.

Thank you for creating this discussion, can you change the title to "Bugs/General Issues/Suggestions Thread" ? ...since i merged it, the title should be changed

I do appreciate the reporting of bugs and errors. Suggestions, however will most likely go unanswered, because I'm very happy with the mod as it is now.

These and other suggestions are certainly welcome for ideas for publishing another version of a bot mod(by me or somebody else).

Yeah i have absolutely no idea what's going on there. Very odd. I have no clue how to fix it, if there even is a way. I suppose copying and pasting the link into your browser is the only way =/.

I wouldn't really waste my time with that, i feel like that's really an insignificant issue, but maybe that's just my opinion

Shame! I do really hope some people will become inspired by this mod and try to make their own bot mod, and make it even bigger! Or that you come back after a break and feel like making a better version with all the good suggestions implemented lol. Anyway, it came as a shock to me when you said making a bot mod is actually pretty trivial? I had assumed the reason no one ever dared to try was because it was some near-impossible task, but i guess that wasn't it?

Yeah if you know how to make a mod, all you really need to know is:
botname addTestClient();
The rest is up to the coder to determine what to do with them after they spawn. Their default behavior is to just wander around and shoot.

Right now I'm thinking about updating this version to try solving the clientfield mismatch that happens on many good maps.

Next update i will try to add a "teleport bots to your location" option into the bot menu. probably will also add more standard and PaP'd weapons to the list of random guns given.

@WarpSpider, Hey! Thank you for the wander mode and for making bots spawn in on round 1, I love both these additions! I hope i don't frustrate you by asking but do you have any plans currently to implement the request i made the other day in some form? I asked if you could make it so the bots weapons would update to whatever the player was holding like it did in previous versions of the mod. This is just a suggestion but maybe as some option/toggle in one of the menus so anyone who doesn't want the feature doesn't have to use it. I'm sorry if this is asking alot/too much, I have no idea how creating mods for this game works so i don't know if it would be simple or not. If you don't plan to/want to or cant implement it it's all good! This is a awesome mod either way! :)
