Upcoming Major Character Overhaul
When Morrigan is uploaded, I'm going to begin a massive overhaul of Hsien-Ko. This was my first workshop character, and I didn't have a good idea of how to make a character. Additionally, I did not originally intend to make all 18 Darkstalkers characters, so I didn't create her with other characters in mind. I'm mostly talking about size here, Hsien-Ko has one of the shortest sprites in the Darkstalkers games, with her head being just below the platform in the training stage in her idle animation. Morrigan's head went up all the way to the top of the platform, and taller characters like Jedah and Anakaris would be going way up above that platform. Since Hsien-Ko is already on the larger size, and size would be certainly problematic for future characters, I'm scaling down Hsien-Ko and all other future Darkstalkers Characters I make.

Another thing I didn't consider was the idea that many characters absolutely needed a Hyper/Super to do the character proper justice in rivals. Then I realized it would be not right to give supers to only a select few of the Darkstalkers, and leave the others with nothing. Hsien-Ko's Super will be her Tenrai-Ha. This will require some move set changes you can read below.

Scaling down
Hsien-Ko will be scaled down by 20%. This will cause her to have reduced range, so her move set will have to be adjusted properly to compensate for this. Her combo moves will get reduced knockback to make combos possible with her new reduced range, and her killing moves will get boosted knockback since they will be harder to land. I made a preview to showcase the size change below.

Scaling her down unfortunately results in lower sprite quality, but it isn't too bad. I believe the slight drop in sprite quality is 100% worth it since it helps her fit in much better.

Super Move
Hsien-Ko's super move will be her Tenrai-Ha super. This attack is already used as her down strong, so to avoid confusion and reusing the same animation for 2 moves, shes going to get some move set changes.
Tenrai-Ha complete with the spike balls raining from the ceiling will be her super, her down strong attack will become what is her current forward tilt, and she will get a brand new forward tilt. Her Forward tilt will be her forward + medium punch attack. If you don't know what it is, or need a refresher, here is the attack:

Forward Special
I've always been unhappy with how her forward special appeared, the whole thing runs on a single sprite sheet animation, and adjusting her movement speeds to make it appear as if shes swinging from it. I'm going to re-do this moves animation completely now that I have a good idea of how the GML programming language works. Hopefully I can make this move look much much better.

Conclusion
Hopefully these things will solve a lot of gripes you and others may have with this character. I'd also like her and all my future characters to be considered Balanced/Tournament Legal so any feedback in that department is most welcome, but I will focus on that more after the whole knockback adjustment stuff is done.

And if your curious, Jedah is the next Darkstalker I'm working on after Morrigan.

You are the only person who has made Darkstalkers content on here and I am so happy you are. It is my absolute favorite fighting game ever since I was a kid. Been having a ton of fun with Hsien-ko and Morrigan! You really adapted their moves very well to Rivals! :steamhappy: Just out of curiosity, what is the status on Jedah? Dude is my favorite character of the bunch and I am hyped to play him if you''re making him!
